The town of Medway is located in Norfolk County, Massachusetts. According to the United States Census Bureau, Medway has a total area of 11.5 square miles.
The town was first settled in 1657 and officially incorporated in 1713. Medway was originally part of adjacent Medfield but split off sometime around 1713 when more settlers came to the region. The Charles River played a significant role in establishing Medway’s industry, attracting many to the area.
The amount of land was substantially more considerable for about 170 years after the town’s creation. Around 1895 the land to the east, now known as the town of Millis, was broken off from Medway.

Medway is partially recognized for its highly regarded healthcare facility, Milford Regional Medical Center, which is affiliated with UMass Medical Center as a teaching hospital.
Medway has much to offer residents, including a striving area of business along Route 109, good schools, a meager crime rate, and a high homeownership rate in predominantly single-family homes.
